George and Eileen McCluney have successfully owned and operated Beef O’Brady’s in Hoover and “Beef’s” in Helena for a number of years.

They have lived in Hoover for over three decades and raised their 2 daughters, Mary Kate and Claire, who graduated from Hoover High School in 2010 and 2012.

They are now empty nesters and decided to fill the void with a new passion project, Farrelly’s Southern Bar and Kitchen.

Farrelly’s Southern Bar and Kitchen is a tribute to Eileen’s mother, Kathleen Farrelly, who arrived in the U.S. from  Co. Meath, Ireland in the late 1950’s.

Kathleen’s 46 year long career was in the hospitality industry where she was well-known for treating her guests as family.

Her life’s work and legacy for providing gracious service and memorable experiences are the foundation for the community that George and Eileen have created.

When deciding on a name for their restaurant, George and Eileen knew the name had to be Farrelly’s!
